Model of a Kaifeng Synagogue
Yiciluoye (Israel) School
In January of 2004 the AKJ established the Yiciluoye (Israel) School in Kaifeng. It is the first institution that focuses on filling the need for Jewish education amongst the Kaifeng Jews. Since the Yiciluoye�s Schools establishment the student enrollment has grown from the initial 12 students to more than 50 students in 2006. The Yiciluoye School courses include: Jewish History, Tanak (Bible), Hebrew, English, Jewish Holidays and Customs, and the Jewish faith. Currently, we are working towards offering online courses on these topics to the Kaifeng Jewish community

LITERATURE
The AKJ translates Jewish texts and books for use by the Kaifeng Jewish community. The AKJ has translated a Passover Haggadah, books on Shabbat, Chanukah & Purim, and is currently working on a Chinese-Hebrew Siddur (prayer book), Introduction to Jewish prayer, as well as books introducing the Jewish holidays and Jewish history. The AKJ has also purchased over 400 different titles on Jewish subjects already translated into Chinese for use by the Kaifeng Jews.

Celebrating Holidays

HOLIDAYS
The AKJ supports different cultural and religious activities amongst the Kaifeng Jews. The AKJ provides educational and financial support to the Kaifeng Jews in order for them to celebrate the Jewish holidays and other cultural activities. These activities help the Kaifeng Jews draw closer to their Jewish faith as well as help foster a communal spirit.

CHARITIES & EMPLOYMENT
The AKJ also provides financial assistance to members of the Kaifeng Jewish community with an expressed need, funding medical operations for the impoverished and assisting those from disadvantaged backgrounds obtain an education. The AKJ assists Kaifeng Jews in obtaining employment, by providing them small business loans.

ALIYAH
Making Aliyah
Making Aliyah
The AKJ fully supports Aliyah (Immigration to Israel) amongst the Kaifeng Jews. The AKJ encourages this, and assists those whom wish to make Aliyah to Israel. The AKJ also assists them once they arrive in Israel, and help them settle in their new environment.
